5e4 is required to get through the electric shield protecting the Spark Portal. This can be obtained by Crafting 3 fully ascended (a10) Hematite Leaves that have 10 shards on Max Electrical Energy Storage. For an efficient set, see Progression/Sacred Nebula.

As of Version 2.18.3, the max possible storage is 1037916. This is achieved by a max Crafted Coal Leaves set specced to Energy Storage + and %, followed by buying every upgrade that can be bought in the Electric Shop until no more purchases are available.
