Unlocking and Obtaining
Relics can be unlocked in the 
Sacred Shop, after that they can be obtained from bosses and alchemy. Relics provide significant bonus to Blowing Damage and Sacred Leaves. To power the relic you need to have Leafscended leaves of the matching type and level. The maximum number of relics of each type (Basic, Gold, Platinum, etc.) in each tier (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Mythical, Legendary) is 10, but this can be increased up to 20 with Energy in the Electric Shop (however the maximum currently attainable is only 13).
Leaves that don't spawn (Celestial, Obsidian, Benitoite, Ancient, Gem leaves) provide x5 bonus to Blowing Damage.
Strategy
The most efficient way of increasing damage and sacred leaves bonus is to leafscend leaves from 10/10 relic of a previous tier to 5/10 or more relic of the next tier as it provides more bonuses when your leafscension cost is minimised with pets, unique leaves and shop bonuses (see leafscensions).
