The Big Leaf Crunch, referred to as Crunching, is a more powerful Reset, unlocked from the Black Science Shop.

When you enter the portal, you earn BLC coins. You can earn more BLC coins per crunch by getting certain upgrades from the Exotic and Flask shops.

Autoupgrade Bots

These bots automatically purchase all upgrades from their respective shop.

Buying the upgrade Autobuy Priority Device (for 250k) is highly recommended, as it lets you set which upgrades to buy, and their priority. This is essential if if you don't want to waste leaves on less desirable purchases (eg. buying damage upgrades from the Bismuth Shop when you're trying to save up for seeds). It also adds a Control Panel (among the top GUI buttons), which lets you enable/disable all bots at once, and set the quantity threshold to meet before purchases are made (eg. don't spend over 60% of the currently held quantity).

Preparation

Checklist for things to do before you BLC:

• Check the Upgrades table to ensure you can afford your next major upgrades.
• Spend leaves:
  • Buy BLC upgrades:
    • Flasks, Exotic, Celestial, Mythical, Lava, Ice, Obsidian, Benitoite.
    • Gem Leaves () - but note that gem leaves persist after BLC/MLC.
    • Check amounts in case you're close to another upgrade.
  • Buy seeds with remaining leaves ( Void and below have no BLC upgrades)
• Toggles & Autobuyers:
  • Ensure toggleable upgrades are enabled (eg. Converter Start Bot, Area Teleport Bot).
  • Check your Area Teleport Bot destination (THE VOID is best early on, it has all leaves up to Void).
  • If you have Autobuy Priority Device: Check your autobuyers purchase amounts, especially for coins.
• Pets & Unique Leaves Buffs:
  • Equip Foxo (BLC +200%) and Butterflyo (buffs pets & unique leaves +20%).
  • Equip Ghost Leaf (BLC +500%), and Unique Unique Leaf if you have it
  • Make sure they're all level 10 if possible, to double their effect.
  • Maybe: Use a Pet Scroll and Unique Leaves Scroll to buff your bonuses.
  • Maybe: Equip pets to help get your resources back up quickly after the reset:
    • Raccoono (more seeds)
    • Deero (faster printers)
    • Bunnyo (faster converters)
    • Butterflyo (buffs pets and unique leaves)
• Other Buffs:
  • Crafting: Equip any crafted leaves with BLC+ or BLC%+ properties.
  • Maybe buy a few BLC++ upgrades from the BLC shop (although they're only useful very early on).
• Misc:
  • Get BLC x 3 from the Gems Shop, if you planned on buying it.

Maximizing BLC earnings after Crunch

1. Pre BLC: Don't bother rushing to purchase Big Leaf Crunch. Your priority should be to Prestige for as many coins as possible until you can upgrade up to Strange Flasks. If you Crunch during your upgrades from Leaves to Strange Flasks, the Crunch will net you somewhere between 5-10 BLC, which is a shockingly insignificant amount. Once you unlock and begin farming Exotic Leaves, the Crunch will reward thousands you can use to upgrade your Prestige+++++, BLC++, and most importantly More Converter Transistors.
   
   
2. Celestial Leaves: The goal at this stage is to mainly farm Exotic leaves (found in The Abyss). They reward incredible gold for Prestige/Coin farming and allow you to buy 10 ranks of BLC++ for significant BLC Coin returns. Be sure to purchase all Exotic unlocks and Flask BLC upgrades, especially Strange Flask's BLC Science. Decide your preferred strategy, but consider playing through to The Abyss and Prestige once you've acquired a billion or so coins (which will not take long farming Exotic leaves). Then return to the Abyss and The Celestial Plane to farm for a very long time in order to acquire more substantial BLC coins through Flask, Exotic, and Celestial unlocks (expect 200k-2m BLC per Big Leaf Crunch at this stage). Your biggest goal is to unlock Celestial Seeds and ALB's Love Seeds — which will reduce your grind time substantially.

Note (Seeds): Once you have around 50 trillion Void Leaves (this will not take long, I promise), there is no need to farm The Void further in a single run. DO NOT spend your leaves on any upgrades not automatically purchased other than getting your Gold Leaves Max Combo and Combo Multiplier to around 25 and your ALBs fully upgraded (other than damage). Spend your leaves on seeds instead. Seeds will be your primary source of income while farming The Abyss and beyond, do not neglect them.

3. Mythical Leaves/Garden: Get Mythical upgrades (all of them except max HP and healthy fruits for now) and start saving up for seeds. When you have at leaf lvl 1 seeds then AFK til you can max out the BLC upgrade, nuclear Fuel and offline enemies (it is recommend to fully max out the mythical shop) (note: Seed earnings are mainly based on how many Leaves you have and the lvl of the Seed, so it is best to wait till you hit a very high amount of leaves and then upgrade everything.) and repeat the step "for midgame players" at the end equip BLC boosting Pets+Unique Leaves (you will get between 15m and 60m BLC).

Alternatively, if you want to actively play and not afk for most of the time, then the BLC upgrade Autobuy Priority Device, as well as the coin bot are absolute must haves. Buy them both, and set it up so that all of your flasks are will buy a certain amount of Increase Converter Output, and max out the upgrades that only take 10 levels. The level will vary depending on the upgrades you already have, such as Gem Shop upgrades "BLC Coins x3" and "Converter Output +300%". In the coin shop, make sure you have around 5-10d coins, and then set up the bot to buy all of the one time purchases, max out Upgrade Discount, Increase Converter Count/Output to 80 and 60 respectively, Printer Adder at 131, and Multiplier at 75, and all of the leaf upgrades to 40. In general, you should focus on being able to get about one or two levels of BLC Science per shop, and about 10 or 11 of BLC++ from the strange flask shop. In addition, buy the Exotic Leaves bot and when it hits around 30-32, then equip Foxo and the Ghost Leaf and crunch. If everything is set up correctly, crunches should be only about 5-10 minutes, and the only thing you will have to do after crunching is reequip Bunnyo, and buy your tools back if you do not have the It's Mine! upgrade.

4. Ice Leaves & Lava Leaves: Get as many Lava upgrades as possible (Moar BLC at least to level 12) and then do the things explained under the previous point. Equip all BLC boosting Pets/Unique Leaves (you will get 25m+ BLC coins each Crunch).

Spending BLC Coins

The earlier something is written here, the sooner you should get it.

1. Pre BLC: Master of Leaves (1), What The Combo (1), and More Converter Transistors (1)

Master of Leaves makes each Prestige and Big Leaf Crunch progress from start to The Abyss much more quick and percentage (%) bonus is quite substantial. What the Combo will increase the effectiveness of every other numerical perk in the game and is a fantastic investment. More Converter Transistors will help alleviate the game's biggest bottleneck: the speed at which you can convert Strange Potions — the faster your converters, the better long-term.

2. Celestial Leaves: Master of Leaves (2-5), What the Combo (2-4), More Converter Transistors (2-3), Increased Converter Output (~10), Upgrade Bots (avoid Coin, Printer, and Leaf upgrade bots, they're difficult to manage at this stage), Bigger Bag (~10), Moar Gems, and Crunchy Coins (not needed, but helpful)

At this point, going from Leaves to Exotic Leaves should only take less than 5 minutes. You should be using Prestige to make billions or tens of billions of gold, then focusing all of your attention on unlocking seeds, Celestial unlocks, and repeatedly Big Leaf Crunching with between 200k and 2m BLC Coins to invest. Each of the listed BLC upgrades help you do each run more quickly and effectively. The Converter bottleneck (how slowly they convert compared to how quickly you acquire leaves) is your biggest enemy. Master of Leaves, What the Combo and Bigger Bag will all help you get more Celestial leaves, which will seem exceedingly rare compared to every other leaf.

3. More Celestial Leaves: Unique Leaves (unlock as many as possible, most importantly Ghost), Pets ( Foxo is great, Raccoono's 1% is more than you think), Master of Leaves (~20), and What the Combo (~20).

Getting over the wall, at this stage, is difficult. Unique Leaves and Pets will help you maximize parts where you may be struggling.

4. Mythical Leaves/Garden: Crunchy Coins (if you haven't bought it already), Bigger Bag (as much as possible), Greedy Uniques (1-3), more What the Combo and Master of Leaves.

5. Ice Leaves & Lava Leaves: What you like best (you have the coins!)
